Challenge
Residential inspections leader Lighthouse Inspections, has more than 17 years of experience in residential and commercial property inspections. The company has completed over 37,000 inspections and has over 50 locations. Their existing brand was dated, messaging did not resonate with their target audiences – residential, realtors and franchises. The website was also not mobile friendly and did not make it easy to find an inspector. Navigation for site visitors was difficult and not intuitive.

Solution
After completing a brand and competitive analysis, Sprout recommended a new logo, website, messaging and positioning for each of the Lighthouse audiences – residential inspections, realtors and franchises. Sprout then designed and developed a mobile-responsive website to better encapsulate the customer experience. Sprout also custom-built a responsive ‘Find an Inspector’ page that is searchable by both geographical name and region. This was then paired with on-page SEO strategy and blog to drive traffic to the website.

This promotional video was shot for Scotiabank. It was designed to create an interactive experience for post secondary students to teach them about managing money. James Cunningham, comic, Actor, Author & Host of Eat St. TV series combined stand up comedy with his acute financial sense to educate students about the potential pitfalls.

Challenge
Get young adults exited and informed about the importance of managing money wisely. Educate millennials about Scotiabank services and create brand awareness.

Solution
Shot on location by the Sprout video team at University campuses across Ontario, the event attracted large crowds and had an emotional impact on those that attended. After the success of this initial event this has become an annual tradition.

Maple Family Dentistry

Challenge
Maple Family Dentistry was founded by Dr. Howard Libstug who has been practicing family and cosmetic dentistry since 1989. Formerly known as Mackenzie Dental Health, Maple Family Dentistry had three locations – two in Maple, ON and one in Niagara Falls, ON. Each clinic was operating under a different name and had its own distinct dental branding. Two of the clinics had websites and one location did not. The websites were not mobile responsive and extremely outdated. The existing messaging also focused on technical procedures and did not clearly convey the value of the brand.

Solution
After executing market research, Sprout completed a brand strategy and recommended that all locations be amalgamated under the Maple Family Dentistry name. Maintaining three separate locations diluted the brand, was not cost-effective and required significant resources. New messaging and positioning was created to focus on patient wants, needs and motivations identified through the research phase. A new logo and tagline were created to reflect the family values and community-oriented services offered by the group of clinics. The previous logo was a scepter and a snake and was perceived as “cold, clinical” and did not reflect the welcoming atmosphere that Maple Family Dentistry provides. The existing logo also created confusion about the types of services offered. The findings of the research were applied to all creative. A responsive, SEO-friendly website was designed and developed to reflect the brand strategy findings. The new website now offers the flexibility for regional marketing, while centrally servicing all patients. The website developed meets WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines and is fully AODA compliant

Results
A few months after the rebrand, Maple Family Dentistry reported a 57% increase in patients.

Tri-Star Landscaping

Tri-Star Landscaping

Challenge
Tri-Star Landscaping is a commercial landscaping company that has worked with landscape architects, land developers and commercial builders since 1985. Their logo was outdated and they wanted a more modern, timeless and professional design which would clearly define them to their target audience. The company’s brand was outdated and the over 30-year old firm was unable to drive traffic to its website. The little traffic it did have was immediately falling off due to sparse and ineffectual website content. Tri-Star also had limited marketing materials. Another challenge Tri-Star faced included being mistaken for a residential landscaping service, as homeowners would often call their offices.

Solution
After industry and competitor research was executed, Sprout designed a new logo that was much more modern and reflective of Tri-Star’s true brand values. Our rebrand challenge was to work with our client’s existing corporate colour, which was a teal green, while creating a design which would differentiate them from their direct commercial competitors and include our recommended tagline. Once the logo was completed Tri-Star asked us to create an eye catching design for their fleet vehicles in addition to all of the other customer touchpoints.

Results

Sprout then created a simple, clean website that was mobile responsive. As a result, Tri-Star Landscaping staff can now easily manage all of their own content going forward. Digital marketing materials were created to capture the entire customer experience and drive conversions through the company’s website which significantly increased revenues. Here’s how we brought it all together.

Regal Lighting Designs

Challenge
Regal Lighting Designs, an architectural lighting design company that specializes in LED lighting solutions, was unable to drive traffic to its website. The little traffic it did have was immediately falling off due to the very technical nature of the site content. Regal also had an ineffective marketing plan that had yielded minimal results.

Solution
After completing a brand and competitive analysis, Sprout recommended new messaging and positioning for the website, a new tagline (previous tagline: Shedding New Light on Lighting) and a restructure of the existing website to clearly convey the value of the brand. A short video was also produced to capture the customer experience. This was then paired with an SEO strategy and an advertising campaign to drive traffic to the site.

Results

The site is currently generating leads and traffic has increased by 30%. Regal is also being profiled by media moguls Mike Holmes, Debbie Travis and Steve Maxwell (Canada’s Handiest Man).

Create awareness for Purina’s Pets At Work program. Determine how to best showcase the benefits of adopting a ‘pets at work’ policy for both employees and clients. Demonstrate stress reduction and other health benefits, while promoting this policy to other companies.

Solution
A professionally produced video testimonial to succinctly define the Pets at Work experience and how to best prepare an office to receive animals. Showcase an employer who has had immense success with a pet friendly office environment. When producing this video, Sprout took steps to clearly demonstrate how this policy is not only positive for pets who might be at home alone during the work day, but for dog owners who find comfort in having their furry friends at work. The result, a powerful case study to promote to other companies while creating awareness for Purina’s brand.

Challenge
GameTV is a Canadian channel that is owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment. The channel primarily airs game shows, reality shows, and a variety of blockbuster movies and popular feature films. GameTV required a Fall programming promotion strategy to increase brand awareness, viewer ratings and attract a younger demographic.

Solution
After executing preliminary research, Sprout recommended a hybrid social media strategy to clearly define the channel experience through its, 8PM – Fall game show lineup. Sprout then developed the theme, tagline – #getyourGameon and all messaging and related content. Creative included image ads, video ads and all organic content. The campaign ran for three weeks on air and through all GameTV social media platforms, with specific focus on Facebook and Instagram.

Pindrop Hearing Centres

Challenge
Pindrop Hearing Centres had 15 locations across Canada. Each store was operating under a different name. As each location had its own distinct branding, website and marketing communications vehicles, maintaining this structure was expensive and time consuming. The 15 different websites were not mobile friendly, poorly designed and difficult to navigate. The existing messaging was also largely focused on hearing aid technology and did not clearly convey the value and strength of the brand.

Solution
After executing extensive market research, Sprout recommended that all locations be amalgamated under the Pindrop Hearing Centre name to strengthen the value of the brand and provide economies of scale. Branding guidelines and new messaging and positioning focusing on the emotional side of hearing loss was created. A new tagline, logo, stationery and a fully responsive website (which offers the flexibility for regional marketing, while centrally servicing customers nationally) was also developed. The fully responsive site has also been enhanced for accessibility with text options and contrast display.

To introduce the new branding, Sprout created an ad campaign that ran in publications across Canada, including full page placements in the Toronto Star and the Calgary Herald. Sprout continues to work with Pindrop to optimize the site for search engine marketing and on its marketing communications and advertising strategies.

Results
After our rebrand Pindrop has experienced an over 25% increase in year over year sales to 2020 and their highest sales ever ever in 2016, 2017 and 2018. This success led to a buy out of over half the company by Amplifon SpA is an Italian-British company, based in Milan, and the world’s largest hearing aid retailer. Due to Pindrop Hearing’s ongoing market success, the remaining portion of the company was bought out by Hearing Life (formerly Listen Up! Canada) in 2022.

Challenge
Core International offers management consulting for executive leaders for large clients such as Canadian Tire, Astra Zeneca, OLG, banks and many other leading organizations. Core needed to more clearly convey the value and experience associated with the brand from both a messaging and positioning standpoint, while finding the most effective way to differentiate themselves from their competitors, including the larger consulting firms. Core’s website was also outdated and all marketing vehicles needed to be overhauled to more accurately reflect the brand.

Solution
After executing in-depth research of Core’s competitors and the overall market, we provided a brand strategy which included an analysis and accompanying plan for Core to better position itself for all target audience touchpoints. Creative recommendations were provided in addition to bringing better cohesion to the brand through a new tagline, positioning and messaging, which has now been implemented in all Core marketing vehicles, including its new website.

Results

Challenge
Research is an important part of branding. The brand strategy research we executed for PC350 included collecting data and feedback from the designer + architect community, the industry, market, competitors and many other key segments. The result? Despite a 50 year history there was a lack of consistency and perception regarding what the PC350 brand was all about. Our research revealed the PC350 brand was also considered outdated and unclear. We also discovered the existing logo, tagline and messaging were creating confusion in the marketplace.

Solution
The research was key creating the new brand. To start we developed the new logo to include shades of blue, associated with trust. The logo visually imparts a full circle solution. The internal accents are an abstract representation of workspaces. The tagline was created to clearly and consistently relay what PC350 does in an instant.

The logo was the first aspect of an entire rebrand executed by Sprout. This included messaging, positioning and revamps of all customer touch points to create clarity and eliminate confusion. This included company signage, social platforms, internal business operation collateral, client collateral, design of new site map and created all content, developed new website, SEO, campaigns and all accompanying go to market strategies. The new brand has been met with very positive feedback from the architect + designer community.

Results

Increased revenues of 18% year over year to date. Greater market share and continuous increases at all customer touch points, including sustained content engagement rates of 20%+. Continuous, significant month over month gains on social media since our rebrand. To date launches that have impacted sales with content engagement rates of 40%+ leading to conversions. Email open rates at 35%+. Consistent Google page one rank for category SEO key words. Continued positive feedback from PC350 customer and industry community.
